Why it matters here
Web design for a strip that fills up when the weather is good.
Collaroy runs along Pittwater Road with the beach on one side and the plateau behind it. The businesses here are a mix of cafes, surf and fitness, allied health, small retail and the trades servicing the houses up the hill, and trade swings hard with the weather and the season.
That swing changes what the website has to do. The local wants to know you are open and what has changed. The weekend visitor wants photographs, a price sense, parking and how far it is. Sites built for only one of those leave money on the table.
Our website design work here is built for both. Fast on a phone with patchy reception, honest about hours, obvious about booking or ordering, and photographed so the place looks like itself.
Seasonality matters more here than most places. A site still showing winter hours in December, or a class timetable from last season, loses trade in the exact weeks that pay for the year. We hand it over so a change takes two minutes from a phone.
The other thing worth building for is the planning visitor. People book Collaroy classes, tables and appointments days ahead from other suburbs entirely, and that person wants to know what to expect, what it costs and where to park. Same site, different job.
