Why it matters here
Web design for a village with two completely different customers.
Newport runs on a split. Through the week it is a local village: the cafes, the trades, the marine businesses along the Pittwater side, the services keeping the houses on the hill running. On a weekend it fills with people who have driven up Barrenjoey Road and are deciding where to stop.
Those two customers need different things from the same website. The local wants to know you are open and what changed. The visitor wants photographs, a price range, parking and how far it is. Sites built for only one of them leave money on the table every Saturday.
Our website design work here is built for both. Fast on a phone with poor reception, honest about hours, obvious about how to book or order, and photographed so the place looks like itself rather than a stock library.
The marine side of Newport has a different problem again. Boat maintenance, moorings, rigging and the trades that service them are chosen on competence and availability, and the customer is often searching from a jetty. Those pages need to be plain, specific and fast, which is the opposite of what a hospitality page needs.
The other thing that costs businesses up here is seasonality. A site that still shows winter hours in December, or a menu from two summers ago, actively loses trade during the weeks that matter most. We hand it over so a change takes two minutes from a phone, because that is the only version that stays current.
